Espada (from BLEACH)

The Espadas.
Nnoitora, Barragan, Grimmjow, Aaroniero, Halibel, Yammy, Stark, Ulquiorra, Szayelaporro, Zommari.
The Espadas (十刃(エスパーダ), Esupāda?, Japanese for "ten blades," Spanish for "sword") are the ten strongest Arrancars in Sōsuke Aizen's army and each of them represents an aspect of death. They are based at Las Noches (虚夜宮(ラス・ノーチェス), Rasu Nōchesu?, Japanese for "Hollow Night Palace," Spanish for "The Nights"), which was originally the Espada Barragan's domain, until Aizen took and remodeled it into a palace. The Espadas are ranked in order of their strength and have their respective numbers tattooed somewhere on their bodies as proof of their superiority. While it was originally thought the Espadas were ranked from 1 to 10, with 1 the strongest and 10 the weakest, they are in truth ranked 0 through 9. The Espadas are also allowed to personally choose any ordinary Arrancars as their direct subordinates, referred to as their Fracciónes (従属官(フラシオン), furashion?, Japanese for "subordinate official," Spanish for "fraction"). Each Espada also possesses a Caja Negacion, a cube-like item meant to permanently seal away any one Fracción as a punishment. But stronger Espadas can escape from the Caja Negacion's subspace over time.

Yammy Riyalgo
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? YammyRiyalgo
Yammy Riyalgo (ヤミー・リヤルゴ, Yamī Riyarugo?), as signified by the "10" tattooed to his left shoulder, is usually believed to be the Décima Espada. Though he only refers to himself to be the Arrancar Diez,[12] Yammy is actually the Cero Espada, as the "1" from his tattoo flakes off through his resurrección and he claims that it allows his power to surpass the other Espadas. Thus, he is in fact the number 'zero' Espada, the top Espada. The aspect of death he represents is rage. What remains of his Hollow mask is the jawbone, which rests on his chin. He is the largest but not the most intelligent of the Espadas, relying upon Ulquiorra Schiffer to explain things and to give him orders while in battle. Yammy relies primarily on his brute strength and cero blasts in battle, taking little interest in using his sword unless he is overpowered. Aside from his fighting abilities, Yammy can suck the souls from living humans en masse using his ability called gonzui (魂吸(ゴンズイ)?, Japanese for "soul suction"). It affects a wide area, but any individual with even slight spiritual power is able to resist it to some degree. As indicated by Yasutora Sado, his size has increased considerably since his first appearance.[13]

His zanpakutō is Ira (憤獸(イーラ), Īra?, Spanish for "Wrath," Japanese for "angry beast"). When he releases, as his true tattoo is revealed, Yammy's size and power increase dramatically, becoming a giant, multi-legged ankylosaurus-like centaur. But Yammy's power depends directly on his anger, not only allowing him to increase his size but resume a humanoid form with a pair of large spikes protruding from his shoulders and a row of smaller spikes down his spine.

Yammy is one of the first Arrancars to be introduced, appearing alongside Ulquiorra when they arrive in the world of the living to find Ichigo Kurosaki, getting his right arm chopped off by Ichigo during the ensuing fight before he escapes. After getting his arm reattached, Yammy accompanies Luppi, Grimmjow and Wonderweiss Margera in attacking the Soul Reapers, losing to Kisuke before he falls back to Hueco Mundo. Later, Yammy reappears while Ichigo is battling Ulquiorra in the throne room of Las Noches. Before he is able to kill Orihime Inoue, Uryū Ishida disables him with a special land mine created by Mayuri Kurotsuchi and he falls to the very bottom of the palace complex, near Rukia and her comrades. He then enters his resurrección, subsequently defeating Chad and Renji and he attempts to crush Rukia; but Ichigo intervenes, saving her and taking over the battle. Ichigo is also overpowered by Yammy, and so Byakuya Kuchiki and Kenpachi Zaraki intervene. When it appears that the latter two have disabled him, Yammy undergoes a second, much larger transformation.[14] He is voiced by Kenji Nomura in Japanese, and Paul St. Peter in English.

Coyote Stark and Lilinette Gingerback

Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Stark_and_Lilinette_by_omgitsturhan

Coyote Stark (コヨーテ・スターク, Koyōte Sutāku?, romanized as Coyote Starrk in the Japanese media) is the Primera Espada, signified by the "1" tattooed on the back of his left hand. The aspect of death he represents is isolation. His sole Fracción is Lilinette Gingerback (リリネット・ジンジャーバック, Ririnetto Jinjābakku?, romanized as Lilynette Gingerback in the Japanese media), who is actually another part of him. Stark and Lilinette came into being as the result of a Hollow splitting its soul in two out of loneliness brought on by the fact that its spiritual pressure was too deadly for those who get too close, even other Hollows it tried to befriend. Stark does not remember which of them the original Hollow resembled.[15] Some time after coming into being, Stark and Lilinette encountered Aizen, with Stark joining him as an ally as he saw him to be someone who could stay around them without dying.[16] Stark has an overall lazy and laid back personality and is normally reluctant, yet can be serious and willing to do what needs to be done to complete the task at hand. Lilinette Gingerback typically shows the concern that Stark does not, acting like a sister and giving him incentive.[17] The remains of Stark's Hollow mask consist of a bottom jaw that is positioned like a necklace and his Hollow hole is on his sternum, right below the tip of his mask. Lilinette's Hollow mask is in the form of a partial skull with a horn.

Stark also appears to be uninterested in fighting, going as far as to suggest that he and Shunsui Kyōraku pretend to fight until everyone else is finished. His interest in the fight increases however as he sees the Bankai of the other captains and asks Shunsui to reveal his. He is very fast, easily kidnapping Orihime Inoue while Kenpachi Zaraki and Ichigo Kurosaki are only a few feet away.[18] His laziness also manifests itself in his fighting style, as he refuses to fight Shunsui Kyōraku at full strength when asked to. Stark is an intelligent combatant with an implied visual perception on a par with a high-speed camera. Stark's visual acuity is fine enough to note that Shunsui's swing with his left hand is faster than with his right, and deduces that Shunsui is ambidextrous and capable of using both the katana and wazikashi at once (Shunsui had been trying to hide this, and gives a light taunt to Stark by perfectly compensating his left-handed swing the next time he attacks). In a similar manner, he is able to observe how Jūshirō Ukitake's Shikai operates by firing a cero and then moving to get a side view as the cero is absorbed into one of Ukitake's swords and then directed out another.[19] Lilinette, while aggressive, is weak and her cero is described as immature and less powerful than that of a Menos.

Unlike the rest of the Espada, Stark's power is not sealed inside his zanpakutō, but is released when he recombines with Lilinette. When they combine their release is Los Lobos (群狼 (ロス・ロボス), Rosu Robosu?, Spanish for "the wolves," Japanese for "wolf pack"). Upon release, Stark resembles a gunslinger, gaining a fur-lined suit, a pair of bandoliers, and an eyepiece covering his left eye, resembling Lilinette's mask fragment. He wields two ornamental guns able to fire off ceros in rapid succession, one of these guns actually being Lilinette with whom he is able to converse.[20] Stark also takes on some of Lilinette's personality quirks, becoming more vocal and short tempered. Stark and Lilinette can also separate portions of their souls to form a pack of wolves that explode upon contact with an enemy as well as form swords for close combat.

Stark takes on the Visoreds Rose and Love after Kyōraku and Ukitake are injured. He gains the advantage over the two until Kyōraku returns to battle. Stark is ultimately cut down by Kyōraku, falling to his death. He apologizes to Aizen for not being able to repay him. As he falls, he remembers Lilinette and the other Espada and repeats that he is not alone to himself.[16] Stark and Lilinette are voiced by Rikiya Koyama and Kiyomi Asai in Japanese, and by Keith Silverstein and Kate Higgins in English.

Barragan Luisenbarn

Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Barragan_Luisenbarn_by_snakevore111Barragan Luisenbarn (バラガン・ルイゼンバーン, Baragan Ruizenbān, romanized as Baraggan Luisenbarn is the Japanese media?) is the Segunda Espada. Before becoming an Espada, he reigned over Hueco Mundo from Las Noches and considered himself the "god of Hueco Mundo". Aizen, before he defected from the Soul Society, arrived at Barragan's kingdom offering him greater power if he submits to him. Though he refused the offer, Barragan is forced to accept after Aizen easily killed many of his followers, intending to someday kill Aizen and make him regret ever meeting him.

Barragan is the oldest of the Arrancar, the remnants of his mask taking the form of a five-pointed crown. He bears large visible scars on the left side of his chin and across his right eye, and wears a large rope-like sash with a sun-crested buckler attached to it in addition to the regular obi sash. Though dethroned, Barragan still sees himself to be superior to every form of life. Though given the position of Sequnda Espada by Aizen, Barragan (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) his leadership once Aizen is trapped, giving orders from a skull-adorned throne, even instructing Halibel to "not underestimate him".[21]

As an Espada, his representation of death is old age, thus Barragan is able to age his opponent in his unreleased form, such as when he slows down Soi Fon's kicks and ages the bones in her arm to the point that they dissolve completely. Barragan has six male Fracciónes who all refer to him as king; Charlotte Cuuhlhourne (シャルロッテ・クールホーン, Sharurotte Kūruhōn?), Avirama Redder (アビラマ・レッダー, Avirama Reddā?), Findor Carias (フィンドール・キャリアス, Findōru Kyariasu?), Arrancar 32 Choe Neng Poww (チーノン・ポウ, Chīnon Pō?), Ggio Vega (ジオ=ヴェガ, Jio Vega?), and Arrancar 27 Nirgge Parduoc (ニルゲ・パルドゥック, Niruge Parudukku?).

His zanpakutō is Arrogante (髑髏大帝 (アロガンテ), Arogante?, Spanish for "arrogant," Japanese for "great skull emperor") and it takes the form of a giant battle-axe. When released, Barragan transforms into a crown-wearing, robed skeleton that resembles the grim reaper. In this form, he can perform Respira (Spanish for "breathe"), which continually ages whatever it touches. When it touches Soi Fon's and the Visored Hachigen Ushōda's hands, it makes them decay down to the bones and then starts spreading, forcing each of them to sever the decayed hands. Barragan's Respira also has the power to deteriorate kidō, as demonstrated when he dissolves one of Hachigen's barriers. Barragan states that his power is absolute and affects everything under the sway of time. He has also been shown to retain a weapon in his released state which takes the form of Gran Caida (滅亡の斧 (グラン・カイダ), Guran Kaida, Spanish for "Great Fall", Japanese for "Downfallen Axe"). It is essentially a released form of his zanpakutō.

After all of his Fracciónes are killed, Barragan engages Soi Fon and Omaeda, gains the upper hand, and negates Soi Fon's Bankai, until the intervention of the Visoreds. By creating multiple barriers of kidō, the Visored Hachigen is able to contain Barragan's aging abilities to the point that Soi Fon is finally able to wound the Espada with her Bankai. Furious, Barragan releases his Respira everywhere, eventually hitting Hachigen's right arm. Before the aging can spread, however, Hachigen uses his kidō to sever his right arm and teleport it and the Respira affecting it inside Barragan's stomach. Barragan's own ability literally dissolves him from the inside-out and he makes one last unsuccessful attempt to kill Aizen before dying. He is voiced by Shōzō Iizuka in Japanese and Steve Kramer in English.

Tia Halibel
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Tia_Halibel_by_Wonder_Wise
Tia Halibel (ティア・ハリベル, Tia Hariberu?, romanized as Tia Harribel is the Japanese media) is the Tercera Espada, signified by the "3" tattooed on the inside of her right breast. She is also the only current female Espada. The aspect of death she represents is sacrifice. She is very calm and rarely speaks, and when she does it is fairly serious, such as when she tells her three female Fracciónes Apache (アパッチ, Apacchi?), Mila-Rose (ミラ・ローズ, Mira Rōzu?), and Sun-Sun (スンスン, Sunsun?) that being afraid of an Espada's released form is a natural reaction. The remnants of Halibel's Hollow mask are covered by her coat and collar most of the time; her mask covers the lower portion of her face from her nose down, extending down her neck and out to either side of her chest, although still leaving much of her breasts exposed. In the manga, her breasts are partially shown; however in the anime they are mostly covered.

Her zanpakutō is named Tiburón (皇鮫后 (ティブロン) , Tiburon?, Spanish for shark). She carries it horizontally behind her shoulders; the sword itself is notably broad and short compared to those of other Espada, and the inner portion has been removed, leaving only the "outline" of the sword. The sword can create 'ribbons' of energy from the empty inner portion named Proyectil Azul (Spanish for "Blue Projectile") to be used in combat. When released, she loses the portion of the Hollow mask that covers her face and gains markings on each side of her face, as well as two wing-like protrusions on her back, an armored skirt, and armor that covers her arms, shoulders and legs. She also carries a massive pata, which resembles an elongated shark tooth. Her strength and speed are increased, evident by the blow she delivered to Tōshirō Hitsugaya, cutting a portion of him off before he could even react (though this was revealed to be a clone of Hitsugaya made of ice). She controls water to perform attacks in this form.

Her battle with Tōshirō starts off in her favor, but soon levels to a draw as their powers are opposites (she melts his ice into water, he freezes her water into ice). However, Tōshirō reveals that Hyōrinmaru can control the weather. He then proceeds to trap her in an ice prison with a new technique, Hyoten Hyakkaso, and leaves her for dead. However, Wonderweiss arrives and frees her just by yelling. Halibel then engages Tōshirō and the Visoreds Hiyori and Lisa, maintaining her ground, despite being outnumbered. After witnessing the deaths of Stark and Barragan, Aizen interrupts Halibel's battle and slashes her with his sword, stating she "is not strong enough to fight for him anymore". After an unsuccessful attempt on Aizen's life, Aizen tells her that she "will never raise her sword to him again" and he cuts Halibel down. She is voiced by Megumi Ogata in Japanese and Laura Bailey in English.

Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? NellTu
Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck (ネリエル・トゥ・オーデルシュヴァンク, Nerieru Tu Ōderushuvanku?), commonly known as Nel Tu (ネル・トゥ, Neru Tu?) or "Nel" for short,[22] is a good-natured, child-like Arrancar when first introduced and has a habit of saying the opposite of what she actually meant. The remains of her Hollow mask make up a cartoonish skull on the top of her head. She is really Tia Halibel's predecessor, resembling a full-grown woman with a ram-horned version of her Hollow mask and bearing a large "3" tattooed on her back.[23] Compared to the other Espada, Nelliel has a sense of honor and respect for her opponents, sparing those she deems weak. This ideology results with Nnoitora Jiruga attacking her from behind with the help of Szayelaporro, managing to crack her mask, resulting with her current form and amnesia, allowing him to expel her from the Espada.

By the time she is introduced in the series, Nel and her companions encounter Ichigo Kurosaki's group and help them as their guides in Hueco Mundo, though were originally afraid of Soul Reapers as they saw them to be the bad guys. But Nel develops an attachment to Ichigo and starts following him around after her introduction, often mispronouncing his name as 'Itsygo' before getting his name right. As a result, when she encounters Nnoitora as he begins to torture Ichigo, Nel (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) her true form with her memories restored. Though considerably more mature than her child form, Nelliel retains her child-like voice and affection for Ichigo, as she comically hugs him without realizing that her strength is causing him personal injury. As she is about to defeat Nnoitora, Nelliel reverts back to her child form with no apparent memory of what had just occurred.

In her child-state, Nel's saliva (though everyone believes it to be vomit) acts as a rather weak but useful healing agent. In both her child and adult form, she can swallow cero attacks and fire them back. In her adult form, she can also add her own cero to this blast, doubling its power, aptly named a "cero doble," Spanish for "double zero." Nelliel's zanpakutō, which manifests when she transforms, is named Gamuza (羚騎士(ガミューサ), Gamyūsa?, Spanish for "chamois", Japanese for "antelope knight"). Her released form is that of a ibex-like centaur with longer curved horns, a thick tail, and armor over her shoulders and hands. Her sword transforms into a double-ended white lance, giving her the appearance of a medieval knight or a jouster.[24] One of her attacks in this form is called Lanzador Verde (翠の射槍 (ランサドール・ヴェルデ, ransadōru verude?, Spanish for "green lancer", Japanese for "green javelin"), in which she throws her lance directly at her opponent. The lance moves at high speed and rotates extremely fast, drilling through anything it hits. She is voiced by Tomoko Kaneda in Japanese and Colleen O'Shaughnessey in English.

Ulquiorra Schiffer
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Ulquiorra_schiffer
Ulquiorra Schiffer (ウルキオラ・シファー, Urukiora Shifā?, romanized as Ulquiorra Cifer in the Japanese media) is the Cuarta Espada, signified by the "4" tattooed to his chest. His name stems from that of a furniture designer named Patricia Urquiola.[11] As the Espada representing emptiness, He has a largely stoic appearance, rarely even changing his facial expression and is a firm believer in materialism, stating that what his eye cannot see does not exist. Bent on completing tasks set to him by Sōsuke Aizen, Ulquiorra has no qualms about attacking his own allies if they impede his intent and deems anyone he finds not to be of particular interest to be "trash" and therefore expendable.[25] The remainder of Ulquiorra's Hollow mask forms a broken helmet with a curved horn and covers the left half of his head. His Hollow hole has moved since his first appearance; when first introduced it is at the base of his neck,[26] but in later appearances it has been moved onto his chest where his heart would have been.[27]

In battle, Grimmjow Jeagerjaques notes that Ulquiorra tends to stab opponents in the chest, the same location as his Hollow hole, whenever he is particularly interested in a battle, though it is unclear if Ulquiorra is conscious of this habit.[28] He is very analytical; he almost accurately theorizes the means behind Orihime Inoue's abilities, and recognizes that Ichigo Kurosaki's power constantly fluctuates between very weak to comparable to his own strength.[29] He also seems to refrain from killing a person unless necessary, twice sparing Ichigo and proclaiming he would not harm Orihime because he had not been ordered to as long as she does as he requests of her. He can replay events he has seen to others by removing and crushing his left eye, which then turns into dust and flows around those Ulquiorra is relaying information to.[30] While most other Arrancar traded defensive abilities for raw strength, Ulquiorra chose not to, and boasts that he is the only one among the Espada to possess high-speed regeneration abilities, shown multiple times throughout his appearances.[31]

When released his zanpakutō, Murciélago (黒翼大魔 (ムルシエラゴ), Murushierago?, Spanish for "bat," Japanese for "giant black-winged demon") creates two large black wings on his back. His Hollow helmet centers atop his head, sporting two large horns, and his Arrancar uniform appears more form fitting at the top, becoming robe-like towards the bottom.[32] Additionally, Ulquiorra is apparently unique among the Espada in that he has a second release; Resurrección Segunda Etapa (Spanish for "resurrection second stage").[33] He becomes more muscular with clawed hands and feet, the whites of his eyes turn green, and his helmet is replaced with elongated horns, effectively removing his mask. Ulquiorra's arms and legs from the hip down are covered in black fur, he gains a long thin prehensile tail, and blood now flows freely from his Hollow hole.[34] In both forms he can create long "lances" of energy called Lanza del Relámpago (雷霆の 槍(ラソサ・デル・レランパーゴ) , ransa deru reranpāgo?, Japanese and Spanish for ”Spear of lightning”), and when thrown can cause an immense explosion.[35] Ulquiorra seems unfamiliar with the technique when he uses it in his second release state, unexpectedly missing Ichigo with his first one. However, to compensate, he can produce more should his first miss the target.[36]

Ulquiorra is one of the first Arrancar to be introduced, appearing alongside Yammy Riyalgo in the real world on Aizen's orders to seek out Ichigo. However, the pair leaves without killing him as Ulquiorra sees Ichigo's current strength as no threat to Aizen. He does, however, remark that he is concerned over Ichigo's growth potential, stating that if he should pose a threat, then he would kill Ichigo himself. He later kidnaps Orihime for Aizen, serving as her jailer and forcing her to remain alive for Aizen's use. When Ichigo leads his group to Las Noches, Ulquiorra confronts Ichigo, provoking him into a fight. He easily withstands Ichigo's Hollow form, defeats him, and leaves him for dead. Much later, after escaping imprisonment from the Espada Grimmjow Jeagerjaques's Caja Negacion, Ulquiorra engages Ichigo in another battle that ends in Ulquiorra's defeat. Mortally wounded by Ichigo's second Hollow state, Ulquiorra asks Ichigo to finish him off, but Ichigo refuses.[37] As he dies, Ulquiorra comes to understand the meaning of "heart", with Orihime reaching out to him as his body dissolves into the wind.[38] He is voiced by Daisuke Namikawa in Japanese and Tony Oliver in English.

Nnoitra Jiruga (ノイトラ・ジルガ, Noitra Jiruga?, romanized as Nnoitra Jiruga in the Japanese media) is the Quinta Espada, signified by the "5" tattooed to his tongue, and was shown to have been the Octava Espada back when Nelliel was the Tercera. The aspect of death he represents is despair. He wears a large eye-patch that covers most of the left side of his face, as well as the remnants of his Hollow mask (a small set of jawbones and teeth) and his Hollow hole, both located around his left eye socket. He has the self-proclaimed strongest hierro of any Espada, both past and present, enabling him to block attacks, even from blade wielding opponents, by his skin alone. As a result, combined with his rudeness and arrogance, he wishes to fight only the strongest and spares the weak as it is a waste of his time. He firmly believes in male chauvinism, hating the idea of a woman being stronger than or outranking a man with intent to give any woman in such a position their "deserved" inferior rank. This mindset led to his attack on Nelliel, who frequently defeated him in battle and spared him for his weakness. With the help of Szayel Aporro, Nnoitra gave her amnesia and exiled her from the Espada, hoping to be stronger by the time they met again. Nnoitra has stated the only time he feels truly alive is when he is gurgling on his own blood.[39] His sole Fracción Tesla (テスラ, Tesura?) idolizes Nnoitra and models himself in Nnoitra's image.

His zanpakutō, Santa Teresa (聖哭螳螂(サンタテレサ)?, Spanish alternative name for Praying Mantis, Japanese for "sacred crying mantis"), takes the form of a giant axe-like weapon bearing two crescent moon blades fused together at their backs. It is shown via several flashbacks that it used to only have one crescent. When released, Nnoitra gains two additional pairs of arms, and each of his hands gains an identical scythe-like weapon.[40] Nnoitra's wounds heal almost instantly in his released state, and he can also regenerate severed limbs.[41]

Though ordered by Aizen to remain on stand-by, Nnoitra, instead, decides to seek out the intruders in hopes of finding a worthy challenge. After easily defeating Chad, Nnoitra is drawn to the site of the battle between Ichigo Kurosaki and Grimmjow Jeagerjaques. While he tortures the exhausted Ichigo, Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck returns to what is revealed to be her true form and effortlessly repels Nnoitora's attacks. Though she almost defeats him yet again, she reverts to her amnesic child-state and is left at his mercy. Before Nnoitra can finish anyone off, Kenpachi Zaraki soon arrives to help them, and he and Nnoitra exchange increasingly more devastating blows, each finding great enjoyment in the fact that they can survive one another's attacks and therefore prolong the battle. After a long and destructive battle Nnoitora dies what he believes to be a "warrior's death;" losing consciousness a split second before his body hits the ground. He is voiced by Nobutoshi Canna in Japanese and Michael Sinterniklaas in English.

Grimmjow Jeagerjaques
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? GrimmjowAnimeEp138
Grimmjow Jeagerjaques (グリムジョー・ジャガージャック, Gurimujō Jagājakku?, romanized as Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez in the Japanese media) is the Sexta Espada, signified by the "6" tattooed to his back. Before becoming an Espada he was known as Arrancar 12. The aspect of death he represents is destruction. His name stems from that of an architect named Nicholas Grimshaw.[11] Grimmjow is very disrespectful and defiant towards authority figures. He is often openly insulting to such people save for Sōsuke Aizen, and even this respect is quickly abandoned when Aizen is out of earshot. Grimmjow has an overly violent lust for battle, always seeking out the strongest opponent in a given area and he is very confident in his abilities, believing himself to be equal to, or even stronger than Ulquiorra.[42] However, Grimmjow does follow a code of honor and takes offense to anyone who looks down on him and is very disrespectful . The remains of his Hollow mask consist of the right jawbone, and his Hollow hole is located on his abdomen.

Before becoming an Arrancar, Grimmjow was a panther-like Adjuchas who wandered Hueco Mundo and hunting Hollows to devour prior to becoming leader of a group of other Hollows who desire to become Vasto Lordes. As time passed, Grimmjow became the only one who grew stronger, eating pieces of his comrades' flesh at their request when they came to accept their fate as Adjuchas, offering themselves for Grimmjow to continue on in their place and they can maintain their current forms. These Hollows later became his Fracciónes, who were all killed off when Grimmjow brought them to the land of the living in an attempt to exterminate Karakura Town's spiritually enabled people and stationed Soul Reaper alike: Arrancar 11 Shawlong Qufang (シャウロン・クーファン, Shauron Kūfan?), Arrancar 13 Edorad Leones (エドラド・リオネス, Edorado Rionesu?), Arrancar 14 Nakim Greendina (ナキーム・グリンディーナ, Nakīmu Gurindīna?), Arrancar 15 Ilfort Grantz (イールフォルト・グランツ, Īruforuto Gurantsu?), and Arrancar 16 D-Roy Linker (ディ・ロイ・リンカー, Di Roi Rinkā?).

When his zanpakutō, Pantera (豹王(パンテラ)?, Spanish for "panther," Japanese for "panther king"), is released he regains some of his former feline characteristics such as jagged teeth, feline ears, clawed hands and feet, and a tail that can be used as a powerful whip.[43] This state augments his speed drastically with animalistic agility and movement to match. His roar can create shockwaves in the air, he can also fire a number of largely destructive "darts" from his elbows and create energy claws called Desgarrón (豹王の爪(デスガロン), Desugaron?, Spanish for "laceration," Japanese for "panther king's claw") from his fingertips.

Though he developed an interest in Ichigo as a worthy opponent, Grimmjow's actions were against Aizen's order and it resulted with him losing his arm to Tōsen and his rank soon after. However, after Orihime restores his arm and tattoo, Grimmjow resumes his position as an Espada. After saving Orihime from Loly and Menoly to return the favor, Grimmjow takes her to Ichigo so she can heal his wounds before their final rematch.[44] Although he loses this fight, Grimmjow is last seen being protected by Ichigo from Nnoitora. He is voiced by Junichi Suwabe in Japanese and David Vincent in English.

Luppi
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? BLEACH_Luppi_kun_by_ShiRu00
Luppi (ルピ, Rupi?)[45] temporarily replaced Grimmjow Jeagerjaques as the Sexta Espada, signified by the "6" tattooed to his right hip. He has a youthful and feminine appearance, and tends to be rather demeaning to opponents or those of lower ranks. The remains of his Hollow mask (a top row of teeth) rest on the left side of his head.

Luppi's zanpakutō is Trepadora (蔦嬢(トレパドーラ), Torepadōra?, Spanish for "climber," Japanese for "ivy girl"). In his released state eight tendrils sprout from a carapace mounted on his back, which he can control independently to fight multiple opponents.[46] The tentacles can also grow spikes to cause additional damage.

Sent on a mission, later learning to his annoyance that it was a distraction, Luppi overpowered Hitsugaya's group personally until he was defeated by Hitsugaya himself. Falling back while learning his role in Aizen's scheme to get him to Las Noches, Luppi saw Orihime to be of no use to them until she regenerates Grimmjow's arm to his shock. After Orihime restores Grimmjow's tattoo as well, Grimmjow kills Luppi to regain his rank. He is voiced by Daisuke Kishio in Japanese and Michael Sinterniklaas in English.

Zommari Leroux
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? 55944
Zommari Leroux (ゾマリ・ルルー, Zomari Rurū?) is the Séptima Espada. He is a quiet, reverent figure that praises Sōsuke Aizen and despises Soul Reapers for arbitrarily judging Hollows. The remnants of his Hollow mask take the form of a necklace made out of teeth and a ridge of spikes running down the center of his forehead. Zommari has the self-proclaimed fastest sonido among the Espada, referred to as Gemelos Sonido (双児響転(ヘメロス・ソニード), Hemerosu Sonīdo?, Spanish and Japanese for "sound twins"). He can leave up to five afterimages in his stead when using it. The aspect of death he represents is intoxication.

His zanpakutō is Brujería (呪眼僧伽(ブルヘリア), Buruheria?, Spanish for "witchcraft," Japanese for "sangha of bewitching eyes") and in his released state he gains a total of fifty eyes, each of which can be used to gain complete control of whatever or whoever they look upon; this technique is called Amor (愛(アモール), Amōru?, Spanish and Japanese for "Love"). His legs are also replaced by a pumpkin-like structure that he can hide within as a defensive measure.

When Zommari tries to avenge Aaroniero Arruruerie's death by killing Rukia Kuchiki, he is stopped by her brother, Byakuya Kuchiki. After Byakuya proves an even match for him, Zommari releases his zanpakutō and gains control over Byakuya's arm and leg. Byakuya severs his tendons, however, negating the effect. Zommari then takes control of Rukia's body, forcing her own sword against her throat. Byakuya binds Rukia with kidō, and quickly overwhelms Zommari with his Bankai. When it becomes apparent that he will lose, Zommari begs for mercy and accuses Byakuya and other Soul Reapers of aristocratic pride, saying they "slay Hollows as if it were their birthright". Byakuya replies that he will kill Zommari not because of "Soul Reaper protocol", but because Zommari wanted to kill Rukia. Byakuya ends the fight with a single stroke and Zommari shouts his praise to Aizen as he dies. He is voiced by Taiten Kusunoki in Japanese and Greg Eagles in English.

Szayelaporro Grantz
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? 280px-Szayel_Aporro_Grantz
Szayelaporro Grantz (ザエルアポロ・グランツ, Zaeruaporo Gurantsu?, romanized as Szayel Aporro Granz in the Japanese media) is the Octava Espada. The aspect of death he represents is madness. The remains of his Hollow mask take the form of rectangular-framed glasses. He is an intellectual and the scientist of the Espada, thinking highly of himself and following his plans down to the finest detail. He is quite sadistic and views others as little more than research material, thinking poorly of non-Hollows with the hope that Aizen would wipe them all out. Previously, he lost a position as an Espada and was forced to aid Nnoitora to take out Nelliel to regain his position. Szayelaporro has a variety of methods for analyzing an opponent's abilities, such as studying the damage done to their former opponents. Once doing so, Szayelaporro can nullify the effects of their abilities, making him virtually immune to their attacks. In addition to the immunities gained from studying his opponents, Szayelaporro has a large number of Fracciónes which were originally Hollows whom he experimented on and personally modified so that he can heal his wounds by eating them. The first of these many Fracciónes were Lumina (ルミーナ, Rumīna?) and Verona (ベローナ, Berōna?).

His zanpakutō is called Fornicarás (邪淫妃(フォルニカラス), Forunikarasu?, Spanish for "Fornication," Japanese for "lewd concubine"), and, in his released state, he grows two pairs of thin wings, and his lower body transforms into a flock of long tentacles.[47] He can shoot a stream of blood-like liquid from his body and if even one droplet comes into contact with an opponent a doppelganger of them is created that Szayelaporro can control to use their abilities against them. By wrapping an opponent in his wings, Szayelaporro can create voodoo dolls of them. Any damage done to the dolls' internal organs is done to the original, debilitating them from the inside. Should he be eaten, Szayelaporro's body will fuse with its opponent's nervous system, allowing him to gain complete control of their body. The last of his many abilities, known as Gabriel (受胎告知(ガブリエール), Gaburiēru?, Japanese for "the Annunciation"), allows him to be reborn if he is injured beyond repair by impregnating an enemy and absorbing their spirit particles, turning them into his own and killing the victim in the process.

Prior to his introduction, Szayelaporro sends Rudobone to bring him any defeated Arrancar in order to analyze the abilities of those who defeated them. Szayelaporro later engages Renji Abarai in battle, revealing himself as the younger brother of Ilfort Grantz whom Renji killed. Revealing that he had analyzed data on Renji's attacks through the insects he laced on Ilfort's body prior, Szayelaporro had the advantage over the Soul Reaper before unleashing his Fracción Medazeppi (メダゼピ, Medazepi?) on him. Though Uryū Ishida arrives to aid him, Szayelaporro eventually nullifies Uryū's abilities as well from studying Cirucci's corpse and damages both his opponents enough to be in non-combative states. Just as he loses interest in them and is about to finish them off, Mayuri Kurotsuchi arrives to help them. Being of greater scientific and analytical ability than Szayelaporro, Mayuri is able to render all of Szayelaporro's abilities useless. After Mayuri kills him, Szayelaporro reconstitutes himself inside of Nemu Kurotsuchi while ingesting a large dosage of an experimental drug stored in Nemu's body in the process. This drug greatly increases his reaction time to the point where one second seems like a century to him.[48] With his physical body unable to compensate for his over-enhanced mental state, Szayelaporro is effectively paralyzed and left to suffer a slow and painful death by Mayuri shortly after. He is voiced by Kōsuke Toriumi in Japanese and Hank Matthews in English.

Aaroniero Arruruerie
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? AaronieroArleri
Aaroniero Arruruerie (アーロニーロ・アルルエリ, Āronīro Arurueri?)[49] is the Noveno Espada, signified by the "9" tattooed on his two faces. The aspect of death he represents is greed. In place of a head, Aaroniero has a pair of infantile skull-like creatures which float inside a glass capsule filled with red liquid, which is usually covered with a tall white mask. The two skulls speak alternately (one with a deep voice, the other childlike), often finishing each other's sentences, and refer to themselves as "we", suggesting that Aaroniero is to some degree two separate beings.

Aaroniero is the last of the first-generation Espada as well as the only Gillian member of the current Espada.[50] But in spite of being a Gillian, Aaroniero is made an Espada due to his unique talent of devouring other Hollows through his tendril-like zanpakutō, Glotonería (喰虚(グロトネリア), Gurotoneria?, Spanish for "Gluttony," Japanese for "eating Hollow"), a deformed mouthed appendage in place of his left arm which he usually covers with his robes and a glove. Compared to regular Gillians, Aaroniero can completely incorporate those he consumes into himself, giving him access to their memories and special abilities and even allowing him to shapeshift into their physical form if he so desires [51]. Exposure to sunlight, however, nullifies his powers and forces him back into his original form if he was shapeshifted.

At the time of his appearance, Aaroniero claims to have absorbed over 30,000 Hollows. Although the full range of his acquired abilities is never shown, they include "cognition synchronization", an ability to project any information and thoughts to his allies' minds.[52], and (through a series of events which cumulated with the consumption of the Hollow Metastacia) the powers, memories and form of Soul Reaper Kaien Shiba. Furthermore, his zanpakutō release transforms his lower body into a purple, house-sized octopus-like mass with dozens of tentacles and cartoonish mouth-like mask pieces.[53] With Glotonería released, Aaroniero can access the full range of his acquired abilities at will.[54]

After Ichigo and his friends break into Hueco Mundo, Aaroniero seeks out Rukia and, in the guise of Kaien Shiba, attempts to use Rukia's guilt at Kaien's death to trick her first into allowing him to kill her. However, when he almost attempts to trick her into killing her friends, Rukia senses something is amiss, engaging him. Though eventually unmasked, Aaroniero reveals that he was not merely shapeshifted, but actually in control of Kaien's spirit body. As she believes that she had freed Kaien Shiba by killing him those many years before, Aaroniero's revelation shatters Rukia's resolve, enabling Aaroniero to overpower and wound her with his own released zanpakutō. Before he can kill her, however, Rukia, spurned on by memories of Kaien, retaliates by stabbing Aaroniero through his upper skull, shattering his glass capsule and reducing the rest of his body to liquid. As he dies, broadcasting his final moments to his allies, Aaroniero's lower skull screams for Aizen's help whilst the upper skull merely curses Rukia, refusing to accept his defeat, before splitting in half. Toshihiko Seki voices both skulls in Japanese. Keith Silverstein voices the top skull and Wendee Lee voices the bottom skull in English.

rganization 13 (FROM KINGDOM HEARTS)
Members
Further information: Story of the Kingdom Hearts series
Prior to the first game in the series, the six former disciples of Ansem the Wise became Heartless and their Nobodies created the Organization. Members are numbered in the order in which they joined, with Xemnas, the Nobody of Xehanort, numbered one as their leader.[1] Each member is given a cloak made of a special material that allows them to pass through the Corridors of Darkness into other worlds safely without being attacked by the Heartless there.[6] Members are given titles indicating both their role in Organization XIII and their personality, as well as their own breed of lesser Nobodies to control, usually suited to their fighting style and unique themed powers.[7] As Nobodies, they lack emotion and morality, and are unable to feel guilt and remorse for their actions.[8] However, most of the members' personalities are based from what memories they have of their original selves. About half of the members were introduced in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, with the remaining members introduced in Kingdom Hearts II. In Chain of Memories, Sora, the series' protagonist, and his friends, Donald Duck and Goofy, are led to a mysterious fortress called Castle Oblivion by members of the Organization, who intend to turn Sora into their pawn by manipulating his memories. Sora's friend Riku also arrives at Castle Oblivion, but in the basement where he encounters other Organization members. Sora and Riku traverse the levels of the castle to reach the top, fighting and defeating several members along the way. By Kingdom Hearts II, the actions of Sora and Riku along with Roxas's absence reduced the Organization to seven members, who seeks to use the power of Kingdom Hearts[Note 2] to become complete beings.[9][10]

Xemnas
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Xemnas_by_arkoniel
Xemnas (ゼムナス, Zemunasu?) is the Nobody of Xehanort, and is also known as the "The Superior of the In-Between" (狭間の指導者, Hazama no Shidōsha?). The character's name is based on Xehanort's alias, "Ansem". Xemnas is the leader of the Organization and the primary villain of Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. He controls Sorcerer Nobodies, and fights with Ethereal Blades called "Interdiction" (フォービドゥン, Fōbidun?, lit. "Forbidden"). The character can manipulate nothingness to phase through solid matter and manifest energy-based shields and projectiles.[7] The character first appeared in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix as an optional boss labeled "Unknown" (謎の男, Nazo no Otoko?, lit. "Mysterious Man"). During their first meeting at Hollow Bastion, Xemnas tests Sora to glance into his memories to use them to create Xion as a back-up plan in case Sora is unable to be useful in the Organization's plans; later deciding to use her to not only kill off Roxas but also ensure Sora remains asleep. Other than his agenda of becoming one with Kingdom Hearts to transcend into a higher state of being, Xemnas has another goal to reach the Chamber of Wakening for reasons none of the other Organization members know, hinting that he possesses his original self's obsession with regaining his full memory. Xemnas is voiced by Norio Wakamoto and Paul St. Peter in Japanese and English respectively.[11][12]

In Kingdom Hearts II, Xemnas initially appears in Roxas's dream recollection of meeting him on his sixth day as an Organization member.[1] Xemnas also makes two appearances at Hollow Bastion; in the second, his identity is clarified and his face is revealed. His plan is to increase the power of Kingdom Hearts by having Sora destroy Heartless, releasing the hearts inside them. At the World That Never Was, Xemnas was waiting for the completion of Kingdom Hearts until Ansem the Wise attempts to digitally contain its power. However, Ansem's machine overloads and explodes, apparently killing him and damaging Kingdom Hearts. After Sora refuses to aid him in restoring Kingdom Hearts, Xemnas uses what is left of Kingdom Hearts' power to take on a new form to fight Sora's party. Though Xemnas is thought to be defeated, he separates Sora and Riku from the others to attack them. However, the two defeat Xemnas and he fades into darkness.[13]

Xigbar
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? O02
Xigbar (シグバール, Shigubāru?), the "Freeshooter" (魔弾の射手, Madan no Shashu?, lit. "Magic Bullet Shooter"), is the second member of Organization XIII. The character is voiced by Hōchū Ōtsuka and James Patrick Stuart in Japanese and English respectively.[11][14] His original self was named Braig (ブライグ, Buraigu?, misspelled as Bleig in the North American version), a man with a profound interest for the Keyblade who allied himself with Master Xehanort. He encountered Terra and engaged him in a battle which ended up with the left side of his face scarred and sporting an eyepatch over his right eye. He later appeared at the Keyblade Graveyard, battling Aqua after being glared at by Ven for mocking them. After returning to his world, Braig is the first of Radiant Garden's residents to find Xehanort, befriending him as they became apprentices to Ansem to begin the next step in their plan.[15] Because of this fact, Xigbar is the only Organization member who knows Xemnas' true intentions, but believes he'll fail in being one with Kingdom Hearts [16]. Xigbar controls Sniper Nobodies, and attacks with a pair of Arrowguns called "Sharpshooter" (シャープシューター, Shāpushūtā?), which can be combined to form a sniper rifle. Xigbar can also manipulate space to teleport himself, warp his bullets, and levitate in battle.[7]

During Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Xigbar has an interest in Roxas and drops several hints about his true nature [17] He finds out about the Replica Project much sooner than most of the members, and takes it upon himself to monitor Xion.[18] Xigbar battles Roxas at the Olympus Coliseum in the middle portion of the game to test his strength during a mission, much to the chagrin of the latter [19]. Later while (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) in Wonderland with Axel and Xion, Xigbar fights the latter as she leaves the Organization, smirking how she (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) the form of Ventus from his perspective.

In his next chronological appearance, Xigbar appears at Hollow Bastion near the beginning of Kingdom Hearts II, though he never takes off his hood as he compares Sora's glare to Ven's. During the player's second visit to the Land of Dragons, he transforms a dragon into a Heartless, and leaves after Sora confronts him in the Emperor's Palace, summoning his Nobodies to cover his escape. In the World That Never Was, Xigbar confronts Sora again, confusing him by calling him Roxas and cryptically mentioning his three predecessors. Xigbar fights Sora's party, and after they defeat him, he fades into the darkness, refusing to clarify to Sora the mystery of "Roxas".[20]

Xaldin
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Xaldin
Xaldin (ザルディン, Zarudin?), the "Whirlwind Lancer" (旋風の六槍, Senpū no Rokusō?, lit. "Six Lances of the Whirlwind"), is a silver- tongued Nobody that uses the wind to manipulate his six lances, named Lindworm (竜牙閃, Ryūgasen?, lit. "Dragon's Fang Flash"), and to shield himself. Xaldin's lances can transform into a dragon-shaped contraption to attack opponents with whirlwinds. He controls the lance-wielding Dragoon Nobodies.[7] Xaldin's original self was named Dilan (ディラン, Deiran?, misspelled as Dilin in the North American version), a palace guard under Ansem. Becoming a Nobody to be free of emotion, Xaldin understood the set backs of lacking a heart, but kept a clear disdain towards people who follow their hearts, especially towards the Beast.[21]. The character is voiced in Japanese by Yōsuke Akimoto and in English by David Dayan Fisher.[11][14]

In Birth by Sleep, he and Aeleus guard the entrance to Ansem's castle. They both meet Ven, but don't let him inside. They both spot an Unversed and they are about to go after it. But Even tells them that Ven should be able to handle it. Even then orders them to resume their post guarding the castle. After Aqua is lost in the realm of darkness, Braig brings Dilan and Ansem to an unconscious Terra. Stating his Possessor's name, Xehanort, Braig carries him to the castle while Dilan carries Aqua's armor and keyblade. At the end credits, he is seen throwing Lea and Isa out of the castle.

Supporting Roxas in his missions at Beast's Castle, learning of the enchanted rose, Xaldin secretly begins his attempt to manipulate the Beast's rage to create a powerful Nobody and Heartless.[22] After first appearing in Kingdom Hearts II at Hollow Bastion with other members, Xaldin later confronts Sora in Beast's Castle, the boy's forcing Xaldin to steal the Beast's mystical rose to stoke the Beast's rage. Sora and the Beast find him, and he reveals that the Organization needs Kingdom Hearts to become complete beings.[23] He then kidnaps Belle, forcing the Beast to choose whether Belle or the rose is more important to him. The plan fails when Belle gets away with the rose and Xaldin falls against Sora and the Beast, fading into nothingness.

Vexen
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Vexen01
Vexen (ヴィクセン, Vikusen?) is a Nobody known as the "Chilly Academic" (いてつく学究, Itetsuku Gakkyū?). Vexen's original self was a scientist named Even (エヴェン?), and he was interested in studying Xehanort's memories. Vexen can control ice and carries a large shield called "Frozen Pride" (フリーズプライド, Furīzu Puraido?, lit. "Freeze Pride") in battle.[7] The character first appeared in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, where Tatsuya Kando provided the voice for simple battle expressions.[24] Vexen was included as an optional boss in the Japanese exclusive Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, and was voiced by Nachi Nozawa.[25] Nozawa returned to provide voice acting for dialogue in the re-release of Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.[14] Vexen's English voice acting was done by Derek Stephen Prince.[26]

In Birth by Sleep, he seems to be the highest apprentice of Ansem, as shown when he ordered Dilan and Aeleus to resume their posts. He seems to know that Ven is filled with pure light and no darkness. After Ven saves Ienzo from the Unversed, Even comes along and thanks him, as it was Even's job to watch Ienzo. He also thinks he might have a connection to Ven someday.

As revealed in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, training Roxas before leaving for Castle Oblivion, Vexen has been experimenting with the creation of Replicas, the first of which is Xion. In Chain of Memories, Vexen sides with Zexion and Lexaeus, other members occupying Castle Oblivion's basements, to prevent Marluxia's plan to overthrow the Organization.[27] He battles Riku in order to gather data to create a Replica of him, and is later (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) to investigate Marluxia's intentions.[28][29] Vexen allows Naminé to manipulate the Riku Replica's memories to test Sora's worth.[30] When the Replica fails to defeat Sora, Marluxia threatens to reveal the shortcoming to Xemnas, forcing Vexen to fight Sora himself in an attempt to kill the boy. After their battle, Vexen gives Sora the card to access Twilight Town in Castle Oblivion with the intention of revealing Roxas's existence.[31] As a result, Marluxia considers him a traitor and sends Axel to kill him.[32] In Twilight Town, Vexen attempts to reveal to Sora why Twilight Town feels familiar to him.[33] Vexen battles Sora again, but is struck down and incinerated by Axel as he is about to reveal Marluxia's plot.[34] Though Vexen's death was unintended, putting the Organization at a disadvantage, Axel did it to ensure his research isn't used by Marluxia, in addititon to gaining his and Larxene's trust.[35]

Lexaeus
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Image012
Lexaeus (レクセウス, Rekuseusu?) is one of the two members of the Organization in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories that only appears in Riku's story mode. He is also known as the "Silent Hero" (静かなる豪傑, Shizuka-naru Gōketsu?) and he employs a large tomahawk, "Skysplitter" (破天, Haten?), able to break rocks and shake the area itself with his elemental power of earth and superhuman strength.[7] Lexaeus was originally one of Ansem the Wise's (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD), a guard named Aeleus (エレウス, Ereusu?, misspelled as Eleus in the North American version). The character was first voiced by Tatsuya Kando, who provided simple battle expressions for Chain of Memories.[24] For the Japanese releases of the PS2 remake of Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days, he was replaced by Fumihiko Tachiki; Dave Boat voiced the character in the English releases.[14][26]

In Birth by Sleep, He and Dilan both guard Ansem's castle and are the first apprentices to meet Ven. They both are about to follow an Unversed Ven rushes to defeat, but Even says to return to their posts. He's also present when Dilan throws Lea and Isa out of the castle.

Lexaeus makes a minor appearance in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, training Roxas before he leaves for Castle Oblivion. During the events of Chain of Memories, discovering Marluxia's plans to overthrow the Organization by capturing and manipulating Sora, Lexaeus and Zexion decide to capture Riku and use him in the same fashion to counter Marluxia. When they believe that Sora might fall into Marluxia's grasp, Lexaeus confronts Riku directly, trying to convince him to open himself up to the power of the darkness in his heart. In the original Chain of Memories, Riku manages to defeat the warrior, but with his last bits of strength, Lexaeus releases all of the darkness within him in hopes of overwhelming and consuming Riku.[36] In Re:Chain of Memories, however, Riku is knocked unconscious by Lexaeus, only to be possessed by Xehanort's Heartless, who swiftly cuts Lexaeus down, the dying warrior lamenting his decision to battle Riku.[37]

Zexion
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Zexion
Zexion (ゼクシオン, Zekushion?) was originally Ienzo (イエンツォ, Ientso?), a young boy, originally living with his father who came to be with Ansem and served as his lab (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD). But after his father died, Ansem adopted Ienzo who followed in his father's footsteps. During their reserch on the heart, Ienzo suggested the creation of an underground lab for their research. He is also known as the "Cloaked Schemer" (影歩む策士, Kage Ayumu Sakushi?, lit. "Shadow-walking Schemer") and he uses his power of illusion to mimic others' weapons, disguise himself as others, and create duplicates of himself.[4] He uses a lexicon, "Book of Retribution" (裁きの書, Sabaki no Sho?), as his weapon. The character first appeared in Chain of Memories, and later in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and 358/2 Days as well as in Birth by Sleep as his original self, Ienzo. Prior to Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Zexion's weapon and powers were not revealed because Nomura was unsure if it would be revealed later. Nomura decided to keep it a secret and the development team depicted the character's gravestone in the World That Never Was that would have shown his weapon as destroyed.[1] The character's voice actors are Akira Ishida for the Japanese game releases and Vince Corazza for the English releases.[14][26]

In Birth by Sleep, Ienzo is seen being attacked by Unversed. After Ven saves him, Even comes along thanking Ven. Even also says that Ienzo parents are dead and now Ansem has adopted him. In the secret trailer, Ienzo is seen eating ice cream with Ansem. He turns around and sees Xehanort and Braig.

Zexion makes a minor appearance in 358/2 Days, training Roxas before he leaves for Castle Oblivion. Zexion is one of two Organization members who only appear in Riku's story mode in Chain of Memories. Originally, Zexion had planned to use Riku against Marluxia and his co-conspirators. After Sora defeats the Riku Replica and Marluxia, however, Zexion sees Riku to be of no use and attempts to destroy him.[38] Using the card Axel created from Sora's memories, Zexion draws Riku into a simulation of Destiny Islands where he torments the Riku with his guilt over the islands being destroyed. He then (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) the guise of Sora and attacks Riku, telling him that he's become a pawn for the darkness. He engulfs Riku in light, but Naminé (disguised as Kairi) intervenes to convince Riku to accept both darkness and light. With newfound confidence, Riku overpowers Zexion, causing him to retreat. Afterward, Axel brings the Riku Replica to Zexion, convincing the replica that he can become "real" by gaining power that the real Riku does not have.[39] The replica agrees and kills Zexion to take his power as his own. It is later revealed that Zexion's death wasn't due to betrayal, but rather that he "knew too much".[39]

Saïx
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? SaC3AFx_Days
Saïx (サイクス, Saikusu?, also spelled without diaeresis as Saix), also known as the "Luna Diviner" (月に舞う魔人, Tsuki ni Mau Majin?, lit. "Devil Dancing in the Moon"), is a Nobody with an X-shaped facial scar who can (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) a berseker state of mind by using moonlight. Wielding a claymore called "Lunatic" (ルナティック, Runatikku?), he commands the Beserker Nobodies who wield weapons similar to his.[7] His original self was named Isa (アイザ, Aiza?),[40] and used to be best friends with Lea, Axel's original self.[41] Being in charge of relaying Xemnas' orders to the other members, Saïx joined the Organization around the same time as Axel. However, lacking the care-free personality and morals his original self had, Saïx used Axel to become Xemnas' second in command, and later feels betrayed when Axel befriends Roxas and puts his plan to get leverage over Xemnas on hold. The character's Japanese voice actor is Ginpei Sato, while the English voice is provided by Kirk Thornton.[11][42]

During Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, Saïx (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) missions to the other Organization members. He is also (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) by Xemnas to oversee the progress of Xion. Late in the game, he attacks Roxas when he attempts to leave the Organization, only to lose to the younger Nobody. Later in Kingdom Hearts II, after appearing at Hollow Bastion along with the other members, Saïx appears in Twilight Town after Sora defeats his Berserker Nobodies and warns Sora of Axel's intention of turning him into a Heartless with intentions to stirring unrest in the boy. After Sora defeats the Heartless army at Hollow Bastion, Saïx appears and explains Sora's purpose in the Organization's plans and refuses Sora's request to meet Kairi, whom Saïx kidnapped prior from Axel after Xemnas gives him orders to. After Saïx summons a horde of Nobodies, Maleficent attempts to use her own Heartless to battle Saïx, but his Nobodies quickly dispatch them and overwhelm Maleficent. On his climb through the Castle That Never Was, Sora confronts Saïx. Saïx fights Sora while using the moonlight from Kingdom Hearts to (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) a beserker state, but Sora defeats him and he fades into darkness.[7]

Axel
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Axel
Axel (アクセル, Akuseru?), the "Flurry of Dancing Flames" (おどる火の風, Odoru Hi no Kaze?), is a Nobody introduced in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. His original self was named Lea (リア, Ria?), and used to be friends with Isa before he became Saïx.[41] The character is voiced by Keiji Fujiwara in the Japanese release of the games, while Quinton Flynn provided the voice for English releases.[11][14][24] Much like his original self, to an extent, Axel wishes to achieve his own ideal of immortality by having everyone he comes in contact with remember him, saying the phrase "Got it memorized?" on multiple occasions. Entrusted to deal with Organization traitors, Axel controls the (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) Nobodies, and fights with a pair of chakrams called "Eternal Flames" (エターナルフレイム, Etānaru Fureimu?) and fire manipulation.[7] Tasked with showing Roxas the ropes, Axel befriends the boy as his interactions with both him and Sora eventually cause him to express actual emotions as a result.[43] Nomura designed Axel based on a similar concept as Reno from Final Fantasy VII; Nomura wanted to see what it would be like to have a similar character in a different role and world.[2]

While as Roxas' mentor in the first half of 358/2 Days, Axel is reassigned to Castle Oblivion during the events of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, pretending to join with Larxene and Marluxia in their plan to seize control of the Organization. To gain their trust, he kills Vexen when ordered by Marluxia.[32][34] He then derails the plans by setting Naminé free so she can reveal the truth about Sora's manipulated memories to him. Axel then confronts Marluxia to finish the job, only to be forced to fight Sora instead. After Sora defeats him, Axel states the existence of their relation before vanishing. Axel later enlists the aid of the Riku Replica to get rid of Zexion in Castle Oblivion's basement levels before he attempts to locate the Chamber of Wakening. When Axel returns, he and Roxas befriend Xion, the fourteenth member of the Organization who, unknown to them, is an imperfect replica of Sora created by Xemnas. Learning of the truth, Axel relucantly hides it from Roxas as his friendship with Saïx ended overtime while being forced in hunting down Xion when she attempted to leave the Organization. Later letting Xion go, with Roxas leaving the Organization, Axel attempts to persuade him to stay mainly out of fear of what Xemnas and the others would do to him.[44] Soon after, a frustrated Axel goes after Xion, refusing to let her sacrifice herself as he captures her.

In Kingdom Hearts II, Axel attempts to rescue Roxas from Ansem the Wise's virtual Twilight Town. Despite being faced with lethal punishment, Axel decides to let him be after a brief fight. Axel later begins acting on his own and kidnaps Kairi to bait Sora to him. Because Axel's actions began to appear increasingly deluded and foolish to his former comrades, Saïx later takes Kairi from him under Xemnas's orders. Axel meets Sora, Donald, and Goofy at Hollow Bastion, informing them that Organization XIII has been using them to get hearts.[45] Axel later finds Sora in a pathway to the World That Never Was and chooses to fight the Nobodies with him. The numbers get overwhelming and Axel performs a suicide attack to save Sora, who stays with him until he dies. Fading away, Axel apologizes for kidnapping Kairi and asks Sora to rescue her.[46] When asked what he was trying to do, Axel admits he wanted to see Roxas, revealing the effect both Roxas and Sora had on him.[47] With the last of his strength, Axel opens an entrance to the World That Never Was. In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Axel posthumously contacts Roxas's consciousness following his battle with Sora, reflecting on old memories and sharing one final conversation on the mysteries of the heart with him before fading away; a teardrop is seen falling as the two former Nobodies disappear. In the Secret Ending of Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, he appears at Twilight Town's clock tower, along with Roxas and Xion, with whom he smiles at the horizon and says Sora's name.

Demyx
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? XIII_Order_09_Demyx
Demyx (デミックス, Demikkusu?) is the Organization's reconnaissance who is also referred to as the "Melodious Nocturne" (夜想のしらべ, Yasō no Shirabe?), a slacker who would rather play his sitar "Arpeggio" (アルペジオ, Arupejio?) than go on missions, especially those that require physical labor. Though he admits he's not much of a fighter, Demyx has power over water, using it to create duplicates of himself. He also has control over the Dancer Nobodies.[7] Demyx is voiced by Kenichi Suzumura and Ryan O'Donohue in Japanese and English respectively.[11][14]

In his first chronological appearance in 358/2 Days, Demyx reluctantly participates in the missions Saix (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) to him out of fear of what Xemnas could do to him.[48] He then appeared in Kingdom Hearts II at Hollow Bastion with the other Organization XIII members. Soon after, much to his chagrin, Demyx was (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) to look over Sora's progress in the Organization's plan, and confronted Sora in The Underworld while in possession of Hercules' medallion. After attempting to talk to Roxas through Sora, Demyx sends his water copies after him and leaves after losing. Demyx later crosses paths with the protagonists again at Hollow Bastion, and battles Sora and his friends after they enrage him enough about his nature as a Nobody.[7] Demyx, however, is defeated and fades into darkness.

Luxord
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Luxord
Luxord (ルクソード, Rukusōdo?) is a Nobody also known as the "Gambler of Fate" (運命を賭す者, Unmei o Tosu Mono?). The character is voiced by Jouji Nakata in Japanese and Robin Atkin Downes in English.[11][14] He controls the Gambler Nobodies, can transform Sora into a card or a die and uses a deck of cards called "Fair Game" (フェアゲーム, Fea Gēmu?) as offensive and defensive weapons. Luxord also has power over time, which he uses to force his opponents to play timed games.[7] As of now, he is the only Org. XIII member whose name is not said by characters (his, Xigbar and Demyx's names are never spoken by voice actors; however, the latter two's names are said in context in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days).

Chronologically, Luxord made his first appearance 358/2 Days, where he (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) Roxas in various missions. Like most of the surviving members, he does not know about the Replica Project and Xion's origin until late in the game.[49] Shortly after, he laments his subordination to the Organization to Roxas.[50] His next appearance was in Kingdom Hearts II, revealing himself at Port Royal where he revives the curse of the Aztec gold and uses it on the Grimreaper Heartless, indirectly cursing Jack Sparrow in the process. Sora later frees Jack from the curse, but Luxord escapes without fighting Sora and his party. At the World That Never Was, Luxord traps Sora's companions in his cards, leaving Sora to fight alone in a game-like battle. Sora, however, defeats him, cutting through him when he makes a card barrier, and Luxord fades into darkness asking "Roxas" why he attacked him.

Marluxia
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Marluxia
Marluxia (マールーシャ, Mārūsha?) is lord of Castle Oblivion and the main antagonist of Sora's story in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. Also known as the "Graceful Assassin" (優雅なる凶刃, Yūga-naru Kyōjin?, lit. "Graceful (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD)'s Blade"), he uses a scythe called Graceful Dahlia (優美なるダリア, Yūbinaru Daria?) and has control over rose petals to attack.[7] Tatsuya Kando provided simple battle expressions in the Japanese and English releases of Chain of Memories.[24] Shūichi Ikeda took over voice acting for the Japanese releases of Re:Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days. Keith Ferguson provided the voice in the English releases.[14][26]

Marluxia makes a minor appearance in 358/2 Days, training Roxas before he leaves for Castle Oblivion. In Chain of Memories, Marluxia lures Sora to Castle Oblivion so Naminé could manipulate Sora's memories as part of his plan to take over the Organization. He gives Sora a set of world cards that allows Sora to proceed through the castle. Marluxia (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) Axel to eliminate Vexen to prevent him from revealing the conspiracy to Sora. After kidnapping Naminé in the aftermath of Larxene's death, Marluxia is later confronted by Axel, who attempts to kill Marluxia for conspiring against the Organization. However, Marluxia uses Naminé to have Sora fight Axel for him. After Axel's defeat, Marluxia orders Naminé to erase Sora's memories so he can rebuild Sora into his pawn. She refuses and Marluxia threatens to kill her.[51] Marluxia engages Sora, but Sora discovers he is fighting an illusion. Sora later finds the real Marluxia and defeats him, who fades into darkness.

Larxene
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Larxene
Larxene (ラクシーヌ, Rakushīnu?), also known as the "Savage Nymph" (非情の妖姫, Hijō no Yōki?, lit. "Callous Vixen"), was first introduced in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories where she conspired with Marluxia to overthrow Organization XIII. Larxene wields a set of knives called Foudre (エクレール, Ekurēru?, lit. "Éclair"), the French word for thunder, and uses the power of thunder to fight.[7] The character was first voiced by Rieko Katayama in Chain of Memories.[24] Yuko Miyamura took over the role for the Japanese releases of Re:Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days, while Shanelle Workman provided her voice in the two titles' English releases.[14][26]

Larxene makes a minor appearance in 358/2 Days, relucantly training Roxas before she leaves for Castle Oblivion. When Larxene first meets Sora in Chain of Memories, she helps manipulate his memories by causing him to remember Naminé's name.[52] She then fights him and gives him new cards to access more areas of Castle Oblivion. She intimidates Naminé to keep with their plan and later taunts Vexen after the Riku Replica failed his mission. After she discovers Axel's betrayal and sees that Marluxia's plans have fallen apart, she decides to kill Sora.[53] After Sora finds Naminé, Larxene taunts the two before she attempts to kill them. However, Donald and Goofy arrive to (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) Sora. Together, the three defeat Larxene, and she fades into darkness.

Roxas
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Roxas_ultimania
Roxas (ロクサス, Rokusasu?) is the Nobody of Sora.[54] The character's voice actors are Koki Uchiyama and Jesse McCartney in Japanese and English respectively.[11][14] Xemnas found him in Twilight Town and gave him the epithet, "Key of Destiny" (めぐりあう鍵, Meguriau Kagi?, lit. "Serendipitous Key"), using him to gather hearts for the Organization. Prior to the release of Kingdom Hearts II, screenshots and video showed Roxas without an Organization coat, in a black outfit with a white jacket and light brown pants. Roxas controls Samurai Nobodies and initially uses the Kingdom Keyblade in battle. He can manipulate the power of light to augment his physical attacks and create energy-based melee weapons and barriers.[7] After Xion's sacrifice, Roxas inherits her Kingdom Key and turns both his and her Keyblades respectively into Oathkeeper and Oblivion, which both symbolize Sora's bond to Riku and Kairi and Roxas's promise to Xion to free Kingdom Hearts.[55] Roxas' backstory and his joining of Organization XIII were further explored in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.[56] Roxas first appeared in "Another Side, Another Story", a bonus trailer found in Kingdom Hearts, and is mentioned in several cryptic comments made by other Organization members in Chain of Memories.

Xion
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? XionHumain3D
Xion (シオン, Shion?) is a new member introduced in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. The character's Japanese and English voice actors are Risa Uchida and Alyson Stoner.[14] Xion was first shown in trailers for the new game and has also made brief appearances in demonstrations.[57][58][59] She was first believed to have been Naminé, but Nomura later informed the press that it was a different character.[60]

Being the only non-Nobody member of the group, Xion is actually an imperfect Replica of Sora created from his memories by Vexen at Castle Oblivion, on Xemnas's orders to use Marluxia's scheme to their benefit. As such, she is able to use a Keyblade. She was part of an intended series of Replicas (her name being an anagram of her initial designation number, "No.i," based on the imaginary unit), though this series ultimately went unrealized.[18] However, as Sora's memories are the basis of her being, Xion became more than just a puppet as she developed a mind of her own. As a result, Xion's form is perceived by others different from the hooded doll she originally appeared as: Resembling Kairi in the eyes of both Roxas and Naminé, along with Axel and Riku after a while, and Ven to Xemnas and Xigbar.[61] But once she removes her hood, Xion's actual form is that of Sora.

During her time with the Organization, Xion befriends Roxas and Axel, who helped her out while she lost her ability to use the Keyblade. However, while tracking down Riku and losing to him at Beast's Castle, Xion eventually questions the nature of existence as she experiences more memory relapses in conjunction with Naminé restoring Sora's memories. After learning of her origins in Castle Oblivion, Xion resolves to leaves the Organization with Riku's help. After being captured by Axel, Xion learns that Sora's memories are making her stronger while weakening Roxas. Managing to escape during a mission with Axel and Xigbar, after Xemnas deceived her and Roxas in almost killing each other, she meets Naminé as she tells her that giving back Sora's memories would not only destroy her but also all memory of her existence as well. However, Axel followed Xion to DiZ's hideout and takes her back to the Castle, where Xemnas proceeds to reprogram her into his slave after Roxas runs off. Under the control of Xemnas and using the devices scattered across the worlds to increase her powers, Xion approaches Roxas in Twilight Town and attacks him, forcing Roxas to fight back by threatening to absorb him so she can become the "real Sora". After a grueling battle, Roxas defeats her, and Xion returns to her senses. Xion tells Roxas that she is glad that they were friends and pleads with him to stop Xemnas and free Kingdom Hearts before dying peacefully in Roxas's arms, crystallizing completely and fading away to merge with Sora.

Due to her being a Replica and not a true Nobody, she was not counted in the Organization as a member, keeping the Organization's number at XIII instead of XIV. Furthermore, though erased from everyone's memories, some hint of Xion resides in the memories of Riku and Roxas. After Roxas loses consciousness against Riku, Xion (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) him that she now exists through both him and Sora while promising that their time together will never be truly forgotten. Xion makes a cameo appearance at the end of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep with Roxas and Axel, the three of them eating ice cream at the Station Tower in Twllight Town, then speaking Sora's name while looking at the sun.

Akatsuki (FROM NARUTO)

Akatsuki

The Akatsuki roster as of Naruto manga chapter 317Akatsuki (暁?, lit. "Dawn" or "Daybreak") is a criminal organization composed of ten high-level ninja that have defected from their village of origin.[45] The group receives little attention during the first part of the series, only becoming main antagonists in Part II. Akatsuki members are characterized by their long, dark cloaks bearing red clouds with a chin-high collar. They also have a line through their headband, showing they have defected from their village. Each also possesses a unique ring, which seems to symbolize one's membership in the organization.[46] Members are partnered together in teams of two, each team sticking together as they traverse the Naruto world. Despite this partnership, members tend to have a strained relationship with their peers, only cooperating enough to complete their (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) and showing little concern when another member is killed.[47] Orochimaru defects from the organization before the start of the series, taking his ring with him, and thus Akatsuki never exceeds nine members during the current storyline.[45]

Akatsuki was founded by Madara Uchiha after he was expelled from his hometown of Konohagakure. Though initially meant only to mask Madara's movements,[48] Akatsuki eventually began taking part in (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) and espionage.[45] By the start of the current storyline, Akatsuki's ambitions grow to plans of world domination. To mark this more dynamic goal, Akatsuki increases its activity throughout the series as it attempts to capture the nine powerful tailed beasts. Each member is (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) to capture a specific beast or its current host, at which point Akatsuki convenes to extract the beast and seal it away for their grand plan.[45] As the Akatsuki leader, Pain, explains it, once all nine beasts have been captured Akatsuki will be able to harness their great strength to start world wars at their leisure. With the world governments unable to deal with the beasts' power, Akatsuki will be turned to for salvation, teaching the world the futility of fighting and giving Akatsuki complete control in the process.[49] Madara's goal, however, is to merge all nine of the tailed beasts into the Ten-Tails so he can become its Jinchūriki and create a massive Tsukuyomi on the moon in order to enslave the world. As of Naruto manga chapter 419, Akatsuki has captured seven of the Tailed Beasts with only Naruto and Killer Bee, the Jinchuriki of the last two Tailed Beasts, remaining uncaptured.

Itachi Uchiha
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Naruto_itachi0029
Itachi Uchiha (うちは イタチ, Uchiha Itachi?) is a former ninja of Konohagakure and the partner of Kisame Hoshigaki. Though having spent his early youth as the child prodigy of the Uchiha clan, Itachi is treated as a villain for much of the series. He is initially portrayed as being solely responsible for the killing of his entire clan and family, sparing only his brother, Sasuke Uchiha, with the explanation that he was testing his abilities.[50] Around the time of his death his villainous role is downplayed; not only is he revealed to have had help from Madara Uchiha in killing the clan, but he performed the massacre under the orders of Konoha's leadership so as to prevent an Uchiha coup d'état.[51] In the Japanese anime, Itachi's seiyū is Hideo Ishikawa.[52] His first voice actor in the English anime was Skip Stellrecht, who voiced Itachi in episodes 29 and 30,[53] but in all following appearances, he has been voiced by Crispin Freeman.[54]

Kisame Hoshigaki
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? %5BNaruto.com.br%5D_Kisame_001
Kisame Hoshigaki (干柿 鬼鮫, Hoshigaki Kisame?) is a former ninja of Kirigakure and partnered to Itachi Uchiha, having a unique appearance with pale blue skin, a gill-like facial structure, and sharp triangular teeth. While most Akatsuki partners are hostile towards each other, Kisame and Itachi get along considerably well; Kisame does as Itachi asks of him unquestioningly and always looks out for Itachi's well-being. While he was still loyal to Kirigakure, Kisame was one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, a group of violent ninja that use particularly large swords in battle. His sword, Samehada (鮫肌, "Sharkskin" in Shippuden?), is a living weapon covered in scales that can absorb untold amounts of an opponent's chakra. Only allowing those it sees as worthy to wield it, Samehada can provide the user with the chakra it holds, ensuring him an infinite amount of stamina. During his battle with Killer Bee, Kisame reveals Samehada's completely unsheathed form, a spiked broadsword with a shark like mouth. Kisame himself has massive amounts of chakra, comparable to a tailed beast, enough so that a clone created by the Akatsuki that held only 30% of his power contained an amount of chakra comparable to Naruto when using the Nine-Tails' chakra.[55] By fusing Samehada into him, Kisame can (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) a more shark-like form that increases his abilities. In battle, he frequently shapes water into the forms of sharks to damage opponents, able to quickly produce his own lake to use at his leisure if no water is present. After discarding Samehada when it chose Killer Bee over him, Kisame is decapitated by Bee and the Raikage. It was later revealed that was just a shapeshifting technique performed by Zetsu; the real Kisame having hidden inside Samehada.[56] His seiyū in the Japanese anime is Tomoyuki Dan,[57] and his English voice actor is Kirk Thornton.[58]

Deidara
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Deidara
Deidara (デイダラ?) is a former ninja of Iwagakure, and was also a terrorist bomber-for-hire before Itachi Uchiha forced him to join the Akatsuki. Though he came to embrace the organization, Deidara holds a grudge against Itachi and all Uchiha throughout the series, as he feels their Sharingan eyes look down on his abilities.[59] Upon joining the Akatsuki, he is partnered with Sasori, whom Deidara treats as his superior due to his artistic expertise. Sasori is replaced by Tobi after his death, and Deidara (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) the master-position as Sasori had before him. Though he abuses Tobi when he annoys him, Deidara becomes more like a teacher to Tobi, and adopts a genuine care for his well-being.[60] Each of Deidara's hands have mouths on them that, by infusing clay or other fine-grained minerals with chakra, create "sculptures" that are actually bombs that explode with varying intensities. Deidara's bombs can take any form he chooses, and from the time of their creation to their detonation, he can animate and control them remotely. He is very confident in the ability of his explosives, and believes them to be unsurpassed.[61] Sasuke Uchiha, Itachi's younger brother, is able to systematically nullify his bombs in combat, and so Deidara transforms himself into a living bomb in an effort to kill Sasuke and to prove the supremacy of his art, but fails in the attempt.[62] His seiyū in the Japanese anime is Katsuhiko Kawamoto.[63] In his cameo appearance in episode 135 of the English adaptation, he is voiced by Quinton Flynn,[64] and in the anime of Shippuden by Roger C. Smith.[65]

Sasori
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? SasoriFullBody
Sasori (サソリ?) is a former ninja of Sunagakure and known as "Sasori of the Red Sand" (赤砂のサソリ, Akasuna no Sasori?). His parents died when he was young, leaving him in the care of his grandmother, Chiyo who taught Sasori the art of puppetry, which he refined to fit his needs over the years. Lacking the love of parents, Sasori left Sunagakure when he got older and joined Akatsuki where he is initially partnered with Orochimaru.[66] After Orochimaru's defection Sasori teamed with Deidara, who looks to him and his artistic knowledge with reverence.[61] In due time he devised a way to convert the corpses of humans into puppets, allowing him to use any of the ninja abilities they possessed during their life for himself.[66] In time he even converted his own body into a puppet, which essentially gives him eternal life and allows him to control hundreds of puppets at once. Each weapon in his puppets' extended arsenal is laced with an extremely potent poison of Sasori's own design that causes extreme pain to the inflicted until they die. Sakura Haruno is able to create an antidote for Sasori's poison, allowing her and Chiyo to fight him much less inhibited.[67] They eventually destroy his heart, the only part of his humanity he kept when converting himself to a puppet, resulting in his death. His body is now being used by Kankuro as a puppet, possibly in the same way Sasori used corpses as his puppets.[68] In the Japanese anime, Sasori is voiced by Akiko Yajima as a child;[69] and in the English version he is voiced by Kari Wahlgren[70] and as an adult, he is voiced by Takahiro Sakurai[71] and the English version by Johnny Yong Bosch.[72] His scorpion-like puppet body, Hiruko, is voiced by Yutaka Aoyama[73] in the Japanese version and in the English version by J. B. Blanc.[74].

Zetsu
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Zetsu
Zetsu (ゼツ?) is the only member of Akatsuki to regularly act without a partner. This is in part a result of his ability to merge with any object and quickly travel to a new location, something that few other ninja are capable of. Because of this ability Zetsu serves a variety of different positions in Akatsuki, such as a spy that observes and reports on battles of interest or a lookout during Akatsuki's meetings.[75] He is cannibalistic, and is often sent to dispose of bodies Akatsuki does not want found, mirroring the large venus flytrap that envelops his body.[76] Zetsu's body is split into two different colors, his right side being black and his left being white. Similarly, the two sides have their own personalities and knowledge bases, frequently leading to discussions and arguments between the two. It has also been shown that each half of Zetsu has unique abilities, as in, the white half can make perfect clones of whoever he touches.[77] But this proved useful as one personality can help in the Tailed Beast sealing process as a projection while the other remains in the body to act as a guard. If necessary, the two halves can split apart and act independently. As Kishimoto originally planned Akatsuki to be a group of individuals with close to no human characteristics, he decided to make Zetsu half black and half white to better show his double personality.[78] The black half's dialogue is written in katakana in the Japanese manga, and the white half's dialogue is written in kanji and kana. In the Japanese anime, Zetsu's seiyū is Nobuo Tobita,[79]. In his cameo appearance in episode 134 of the English adaptation, Zetsu has two voice actors: the black half is voiced by Michael Sorich and the white half is voiced by Brian Beacock,[23][34] and in the English Shippuden anime he is voiced by Travis Willingham.

Hidan
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Hidan-ritual-03282009
Hidan (飛段?) is the immortal, foul-mouthed, and masochistic partner of Kakuzu and a former ninja of Yugakure, the Village Hidden in the Steam.[78] He is a member of the Jashin (ジャシン?, lit. "evil god") religion, a religion that worships a deity of the same name and where wreaking anything less than death and utter destruction in battle is considered a sin.[80] His religion's experimentations have led to the creation of his unique abilities; by consuming an opponent's blood and then drawing Jashin's triangular-design on the ground, Hidan can create a voodoo doll-like link with his opponent. Once this link is created, any damage done to Hidan's body is reflected on his opponent, allowing him to kill them by giving himself fatal injuries. Because he is immortal, Hidan is not impaired while doing this, instead finding pleasure in the pain it causes him.[81] After Hidan uses this ability to kill Asuma Sarutobi, Shikamaru Nara fights him to avenge his teacher. Their battle culminates in Hidan being blown up, and Shikamaru burying his still-speaking remains in a place Akatsuki will never be able to reach.[82] As such, Hidan is no longer considered a member by the rest of Akatsuki.[47] In the Japanese anime, Hidan's seiyū is Masaki Terasoma. In the English anime he is voiced by David Vincent, and he is voiced by Wally Wingert in Naruto Shippūden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3.

Kakuzu
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Kakuzu
Kakuzu (角都?) is the partner of Hidan and a former ninja of Takigakure, the Village Hidden in a Waterfall. Kakuzu is motivated by greed and joins the Akatsuki to seek out valuable bounties. However, his extreme temperament led Kakuzu to dislike having a partner and eventually killing whoever he is partnered with in a fit of rage, being paired up with the immortal Hidan as a result.[83] Kakuzu's body is composed of large amounts of black threads, allowing him to reattach any bodypart, his or another, back onto its owner. The threads are also capable of piercing flesh, which Kakuzu uses to remove the still-beating hearts of his opponents for his personal use while executing a forbidden Jutsu called Jiongu (地怨虞?) to integrate their hearts into his body to cheat death and extend his life indefinitely.[78] Claiming to have lived since the time of Hashirama Senju, Kakuzu can store up to four spare hearts in animal masks that are sewn to his back. The masks can be detached during combat situations to shoot elemental blasts at his opponents, and can quickly be recalled to his body if he needs a replacement heart.[84] Kakuzu's hearts are systematically destroyed soon after his introduction by a group of Konohagakure ninja. After Naruto Uzumaki leaves his final heart on the brink of failure, Kakuzu is easily finished off by Kakashi.[85] In the Japanese anime, Kakuzu's seiyū is Takaya Hashi and in the English version he is voiced by Fred Tatasciore.

Pain
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Pein
Pain (ペイン, Pein?) is the leader of Akatsuki, partnered to Konan and the principal figure in the Tailed Beast sealing ceremony as he can summon the Gedō Demon Statue (外道魔像, Gedō Mazō?). When first introduced Pain is shown as nothing more than a shadowy outline. As Part II of the series progresses, parts of his face are shown; culminating in the revelation that the Pain that is seen is actually Deva Pain, one of six different bodies collectively known as the The Six Paths of Pain (ペイン六道, Pein Rikudō?). Controlled by a single conscious mind, each of the six bodies are individually named after one of the six Buddhist paths of reincarnation.[86] All but one of the bodies have orange hair and a number of body piercings that, from a design standpoint, give Pain a "more dangerous" appearance and relate the pain of their installation to the character's name.[78] Each also has the Rinnegan (輪廻眼?, lit. "Saṃsāra Eye"), a unique eye technique characterized by a ripple-like pattern around the pupil that enables the six Paths to share visual information and coordinate attacks.[87] Discovering the secret behind Pain forms a major component of the plot in Part II, and through the efforts of ninja from Konohagakure the identity of Pain's base mind is revealed.

The Paths of Pain are controlled by Nagato (長門?) who, like Konan, was an Amegakure orphan that was trained by Jiraiya alongside Yahiko (弥彦?) before he became Deva Pain. During his time with Jiraiya, he awakened his Rinnegan and came to desire peace for the world.[88] After Yahiko dies as a result of the three falling into a trap by Hanzo years later, Nagato came to the realization that peace could only be attained by teaching the world the pain caused by war. To that end he adopted the name "Pain" to conquer Amegakure before killing Hanzo and his loved ones, becoming a "god" in the eyes of Amegakure's citizens.[89]

In Part II, Jiraiya tries to eliminate Pain to stop him from bringing chaos to the world, but is only able to figure out how Pain works before he is killed. By fitting corpses with a unique type of body piercing, Nagato can channel his chakra into the bodies to animate and control them remotely. He can also give them unique abilities - the Animal Path can summon a wide array of creatures, the Preta Path can absorb chakra related attacks as a form of defense,[87] the Deva Path can attract and repel objects, the Human Path can read people's minds and remove their souls, the Asura Path can use various high-tech weapons from his own body, and the Naraka Path can revive the other bodies and summon a spirit creature that can devour the souls of humans he is in contact with. Controlling six bodies puts a great strain on Nagato, who is frail, emaciated, and confined to a six-legged mobility device. All six bodies were eventually defeated by Naruto, with Deva Pain the last to fight him. It is ultimately revealed that Nagato is Naruto's de facto namesake, having been the inspiration for the hero of Jiraiya's first book, after whom Naruto was named. Naruto is able to renew Nagato's faith in his late master and in the possibility of peace, prompting Nagato to sacrifice his life in order to revive the people he killed in Konoha. Konan takes the bodies of Nagato and Yahiko with her back to Amegakure. In the Japanese anime Pain's seiyū is Ken'yū Horiuchi. In his cameo appearance in episode 135 of the English adaptation, he is voiced by Dave Wittenberg,[90] and in the Shippuden anime he is voiced by Troy Baker.

Konan
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? Konan_Flying_Picture
Konan (小南?) is the only female ninja in Akatsuki. As such, Kishimoto originally wanted her to have an obscene appearance showing more of her bust.[78] Being a partner of Nagato, Konan was also a pupil under Jiraiya after she was orphaned as a child by one of Amegakure's many wars and forced to fend for herself. Because she serves under Pain, she is referred to by villagers of Amegakure as "God's angel". Though she worries for Nagato as he was straining himself from having his Pains battle Naruto, she respects his wishes to stand aside so that he and Naruto might meet face to face. While under Jiraiya, Konan learned to take advantage of her natural talent with origami, using it as a key component in her battle style.[88] Konan can divide her body into countless sheets of paper, which she controls and reshapes remotely to scout out an area, form weapons for attack, or create wings that mirror her title. However, Konan's abilities are restricted when the paper is wet; since paper will cling to itself and lose its stiffness. After Nagato's death, Konan withdraws her position in Akatsuki and leaves the organization, pledging the support of Amegakure to Naruto and Konoha.[91] In the Japanese anime, Konan's seiyū is Atsuko Tanaka and in the English anime she is voiced by Susan Dalian.

Madara Uchiha and Tobi
Espada VS Akatsuki VS Organization 13, Who would win? 1241486264_3245_full
Madara Uchiha (うちは マダラ, Uchiha Madara?) is one of the founders of Akatsuki and its current leader, a descendant of the Sage of the Six Paths. Long ago, Madara became the first possessor of the Mangekyo Sharingan, a rare form of the eye condition unique to the Uchiha which gave him the strength to take control of the Uchiha clan, though it rendered him blind from overuse until he took his own brother's eyes in order to regain his sight.[48] Madara eventually banded together with Hashirama Senju to create Konohagakure. The two founders disagreed on who should lead their new village, and after a momentous battle between the two it was believed that Madara had died.[92] In later years, the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox attacked Konoha, an act Minato Namikaze and others said to have been Madara's doing, though he denies it. Once the fox was sealed by Minato, Madara infiltrated Konoha in secret, and subsequently (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) Itachi Uchiha in (the all powerful Sasori has blocked this word! sorry Hidan XD) the Uchiha clan.[93] Kisame Hoshigaki, upon seeing his face, recognizes him as a former Mizukage.[94]

Much of Madara's role in the series has been under the guise of Tobi (トビ?), who replaces Sasori in Akatsuki after Sasori's death. While acting as Tobi he is carefree and goofy as opposed to Madara's usual serious self. Tobi's tendency to take credit for others' work and undermine his superiors annoys his partner, Deidara, who either blows up or strangles him in comical fashion as punishment.[95] After Deidara dies during a battle with Sasuke, Madara takes a special interest in Sasuke's development and takes him under his wing.[96] However, after Nagato's death/betrayal, Madara decides to make Sasuke the Gedou Demon Statue's new summoner and completely discards the Tobi persona. He reveals himself to the five Kage, revealing his intent to become the Jinchuriki of the Ten-Tailed Beast and threatening them with war unless they give him Naruto and Killer Bee to complete his goal. When they refuse him, Madara declares the Fourth Great Shinobi World War and takes his leave, confronting Danzo as the latter flees the Summit to allow Sasuke the honor of getting his revenge. After attempting to make use of Danzo's corpse, Madara is confronted by Kabuto and agrees to an alliance after being blackmailed into it.

Though Madara's face as it appeared during Konoha's founding has been shown in full at various points in the series, he always wears a mask in the current Naruto storyline with a swirl pattern focused around his right eye, allowing him to suck people into a subspace. Kishimoto found Madara to be his favorite Akatsuki member at the time to draw, noting his mask to be easy to make.[97] His black hair (cut back from his earlier years) is the only constantly visible part of his face. When asked how Madara could have survived since Konoha's founding generations ago, Itachi Uchiha states that Madara is immortal.[98] The specifics of his immortality have yet to be touched upon, though Madara implies the potency of his chakra has something to do with it.[99] In battle he has been shown capable of making his body intangible, leaving him visible but otherwise impervious to most forms of damage unless while executing a counterattack. He can also teleport over great distances at will.[100] In the Japanese anime, Madara's seiyū is Naoya Uchida and the seiyū for the Tobi persona is Wataru Takagi.[101] In the English version, his Tobi personna is voiced by Joshua Seth

Each of the Espada are souls of the dead, that, instead of moving on, stayed on earth and became hollows. (corrupted souls) they ATE other hollows (sometimes up to hundreds of thousands) until they assumed a human form. they each represent a different aspect of death, and all have a super-powerful form when they release their zanpukto. (think swampert suddenly transforming into kyogre)

personally, im betting my money on them.
