Personality: Shentao was raised hard so his personality is a bit cold. He doesn't trust easily, nor does he forgive easily. If he gives you the cold shoulder, you could probably freeze to death. He doesn't exactly come out with his feelings. Getting him to open up is quite a task, so when he finally does, you should feel very proud of yourself. It is not easy. Shentao isn't angry all the time however. He is actually a very nice person if you can get him to like you. And if you get him to trust you, well, you've earned a good friend who will defend your honor and your life to his last breath if necessary. Just don't piss him off too badly.
History: Shentao was obviously born human and obviously he died. He died at the young age of 28 when he was hit by a speeding car. He was in district 78 of the western Rukon district when he arrived and lived through seriously tough times. When he finally lived long enough and aged properly in the Soul Society, he applied for the Soul Reaper Academy and graduated quickly. He excelled in swordplay, but wasn't the best when it came to Kido. So when he was accepted into a squad, naturally he was recruited to Squad 11.
